About the Editor

Editor photo of Daniella Wexler

Daniella joined the company in the fall of 2011 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2018, she was named a Publishers Weekly Star Watch finalist. In her role at Atria, Daniella Wexler acquires and edits literary fiction and select narrative nonfiction from emerging authors. Daniella is particularly drawn to cultural explorations, family dramas, psychological complexity, feminist sensibilities, deep character studies, underrepresented perspectives, moral dilemmas, underdogs, and novels that capture the difficulty—and the beauty—of being alive. She appreciates the irreverent and offbeat and likes to balance her penchant for darkness with redemptive tales of warmth and human connection. As an editor, Daniella is led by her curiosity, reverence for language, and the belief that books bring people together.
