Kara Watson, VP/Executive Editor, acquires literary and book club fiction, memoir, narrative and practical nonfiction, and cookbooks. Recent novels include the national bestseller Big Swiss by Jen Beagin,Death Valley by Melissa Broder, The Half Moon by Mary Beth Keane, Treacle Walker by Alan Garner, and Fruit of the Dead by Rachel Lyon. Nonfiction books are Say More by MSNBC host Jen Psaki, Sex with a Brain Injury by Annie Liontas, The Everlasting Meal Cookbook by Tamar Adler,Gateau by Aleksandra Crapanzano, and The Swedish Art of Aging Exuberantly by Margareta Magnusson. Rediscovered classics on Kara’s list include O Caledonia by Elspeth Barker, The Women in Black by Madeleine St John, and The Fortnight in September by RC Sherriff.
