Claudia van der Werf Commissioning Editor Crime, always looking for the next big crime title. De Fontein (VBK)

At the age of 16, I started working in my local bookstore as a weekend and holiday job. After finishing my studies, I became a full time bookseller, eventually rising to become a buyer of literature and thrillers. After that worked for a number of years as a sales representative for an independent literary publishing house and then as a buyer (Crime) at the book club.
Since 2011 I have been working at Uitgeverij De Fontein as a commissioning editor Crime.
When I’m not reading for work or pleasure, you can find me at a museum or a (rock)concert, although most of my time is spent working in the garden.
