Justin Schwartz joined Simon & Schuster in 2020 as vice president and executive editor. Justin’s publishing career spans thirty years, and his acquisitions include all-time bestsellers such as The Whole30, which spent 116 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, and How to Cook Everything by Mark Bittman. He has published books by celebrity chefs like Marc Forgione, Dominique Crenn, and Scott Conant; television personalities including Drew and Jonathan Scott of Property Brothers, Sandra Lee, Ellie Krieger, Natalie Morales, Jenny Jones, and Tiffani Thiessen; and blogging and social media superstars. Other acclaimed and notable titles include the IACP Cookbook of the Year Fish Forever by Paul Johnson and the James Beard Award–winning Pig: King of the Southern Table by James Villas.

Justin has worked at Morrow, Wiley, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where he was an executive editor, and his most recent New York Times bestsellers included Binging with Babish by Andrew Rea and The Defined Dish by Alex Snodgrass. At Simon & Schuster, Justin continues to enthusiastically publish in the lifestyle category with a focus on books that better lives and are best portrayed through photography and other visually driven formats.
