About the Editor
Catharina Schilder is publisher at Alfabet. In 2020, she co-founded Alfabet Publishers alongside Arend Hosman and Saar Schwachöfer. Before that, she held positions at Querido and Balans, and spent seven years as a non-fiction commissioning editor at De Bezige Bij/The Busy Bee. She also worked at Thomas Rap, where she edited authors including Selma van de Perre, whose memoir My Name Is Selma was published by Simon & Schuster (and translated into 19 languages). While at De Bezige Bij, she published acclaimed writers such as Tara Westover, Helen Macdonald, Edmund de Waal, Olivia Laing, Philipp Blom, and Thomas Piketty.
