About the Editor

Publisher Fiction at Luitingh-Sijthoff. We publish a range of upmarket, book club and commercial books; originally Dutch and translated. We want them to be entertaining, exciting and, most of all, enjoyable stories. To reach a wide audience, we love a good hook, transporting setting, emotional narrative and storytelling you can’t put down.

I graduated in French Linguistics and European Studies. I love big fiction, beautifully told stories at the the cross roads of literary and commercial, so called sweet spot fiction. Before joining Luitingh-Sijthoff I worked as commissioning editor at Prometheus, and, prior to that, as Foreign Rights Manager.

Recent bestsellers include Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano and Go As A River by Shelley Read. Acclaimed novelists and titles on our list are The Paris Library by Janet Skeslien Charles, Good Material by Dolly Alderton, Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson, The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna by Juliet Grames, The House of Fortune by Jessie Burton, The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion, and Where’d You Go Bernadette? by Maria Semple.
I also publish longtime Luitingh-Sijthoff writers Jill Mansell and Danielle Steel and I’m building the LS Digital Only list.

Areas of Interest: Upmarket Fiction, Book Club Fiction, Commercial Women’s Fiction, General Fiction, Historical Fiction, Family Stories, Family Secrets, Romantic Comedy, Women’s Contemporary Fiction.
