About the Editor
Kaitlin Olson acquires upmarket and commercial fiction in the mystery/suspense/crime, rom-com, and historical categories. Recent titles on her bestselling and acclaimed list include New York Times bestsellers The Spanish Love Deception (Goodreads Choice Award winner) and The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas and Icebreaker by Hannah Grace; Barnes & Noble Mystery/Thriller Picks The Family Plot by Megan Collins,Where the Truth Lies by Anna Bailey, and The Appeal by Janice Hallett (international bestseller and CWA award winner); the Lambda Literary Award-winning Kiss Her Once For Me by Alison Cochrun, Edgar award-nominated The Last Equation of Isaac Severy by Nova Jacobs; and many other Book of the Month, Indie Next, and LibraryReads picks.
She is looking for breakout rom-coms with a heavy dose of humor; clever and original mysteries/suspense/crime novels; immersive, often glamorous historical fiction; and anything that blends the above genres. Above all, she loves a fresh hook, unusual structures, and stylish writing. She graduated from Stanford with a degree in Comparative Literature and worked at the Simon & Schuster and Touchstone imprints before joining Atria in 2019.
