Kendra Levin joined Simon & Schuster as Editorial Director of Books for Young Readers in 2019, where she manages a team of wonderful editors and works with authors such as Mary H.K. Choi, Benjamin Alire Sáenz, Jessixa and Aaron Bagley, and many others. She began her career at Scholastic, then spent fourteen years at Viking Children’s Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers, where she edited New York Times bestsellers including SHOUT by Laurie Halse Anderson, Lovely War by Julie Berry, and Girls Who Code by Reshma Saujani. Her books have received the Printz Honor, the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award, the Society of Illustrators Gold Medal, New York Times/NYPL Best Illustrated, and more. A regular contributor to Psychology Today, Kendra has been a certified life coach for over a decade and is the author of the self-help book The Hero Is You.
