About the Editor

Editor photo of Jennifer Boomkamp (she/her)

Jennifer Boomkamp joined Ambo|Anthos in 2011, prior to that she worked at publishing house Contact for five years. Jennifer started working in a bookstore when she was sixteen and has always been active in the bookindustry since then.

Ambo|Anthos publishes a wide range of fiction, from the literary to the (upmarket) commercial and suspense, and the acquisitions Jennifer has made over the years reflect that. She gets excited by new voices, by reading something which she hasn’t really come across before. What is important to her is that every novel has a unique quality. Acquisitions include: Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney (and her later novels), My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent, Leave The World behind by Rumaan Alam, The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton, Final Girls by Riley Sager, Behind Closed Doors by BA Paris, Perfect Remains by Helen Fields, Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly, River Sing Me Home by Eleanor Shearer and The Traveling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa.
She is also the editor of Nicci French.

In 2018 Jennifer set up digital first imprint Loft. Up to 2024 she published Dutch authors, but is looking to grow a translated fiction list with an emphasis on romance and romantasy.
