Since 2018, Maaikes has been at the helm for two key imprints: the fiction division of KokBoekencentrum and Mozaïek. At KokBoekencentrum, she primarily focuses on commercial fiction, catering to a mainly Christian readership with authors like Francine Rivers, Karen Kingsbury and William P. Young. The list also entails “clean read” novels suitable for all ages and free from explicit content. KokBoekencentrum is market leader in the Dutch Christian market.
In the past two years, Maaike and her team have transformed the imprint Mozaïek from an upmarket Christian imprint into a boutique imprint with a broader focus. Mozaïek stands for upmarket and literary fiction as well as narrative non-fiction and has become a respected name in the literary world, known for thought-provoking conversation starters with authors like Christy Lefteri, Emi Yagi, Emilia Hart and Claire Lombardo.
