About the Editor
Having started his publishing career at Granta Books, Ben worked as Editorial Director of Fiction at Simon & Schuster in London, publishing bestselling authors like Carrie Fisher, Indra Sinha, Victoria Glendinning, Mark Gatiss, Anthony Swofford, Monique Roffey and Terry Brooks. Returning to Australia to become Publishing Director of Penguin, he rejoined S&S in 2019 as Publishing Director of Scribner and then Simon & Schuster. He has published many of Australia’s leading authors in fiction and non-fiction, including Peter Carey, Anna Funder, Gideon Haigh, Chloe Hooper, Paul Kelly, Nam Le, Julia Leigh, Judith Lucy, Fiona McFarlane, Steve Toltz, John Safran, Leigh Sales, Don Watson and Tim Winton.
