About the Editor
Grace O’Connell (she/her) joined Simon & Schuster Canada in 2024. Previously, she was Senior Editor at the CanLit website Open Book working with Ontario’s independent publishers. She taught creative writing at the University of Toronto for ten years and worked as a freelance writer and editor with The Globe & Mail, the Toronto Star, The Walrus, and Harlequin. At Simon and Schuster Canada, Grace supports Executive Editors Adrienne Kerr and Amanda Betts. Her first acquisition is the forthcoming fiction debut Honeysuckle by Bar Fridman-Tell. She is also the Canadian editor for The Forbidden Tales, an internationally bestselling horror series by French Canadian authors, as well as novels by Niklas Natt Och Dag, Michael Robotham, and Robert Rotenberg, and works with many Simon and Schuster Canada authors in collaboration with her editorial colleagues, including Scott Oake, author of the #1 bestselling memoir For the Love of a Son, CBC foreign correspondent Brian Stewart, Taste Canada gold medal winning chef Lesley Chesterman, and bestselling novelists Perry Chafe and Katherine Faulkner. She is also the author of two novels published by Random House Canada, including a bestselling debut, and holds an MFA in Creative Writing.
