Tanja Hendriks is Director and Publisher of Ambo|Anthos and Atlas Contact. She was founder of Artemis & Co in 2006, an imprint of Ambo|Anthos with female authors, and Editor-in-Chief of Ambo|Anthos before becoming director of Ambo|Anthos in 2017 and Atlas Contact in 2024. She began her career as an editor at Arena/J.M. Meulenhoff.
At Ambo|Anthos, a team of approx. 30 people publishes a wide variety of books: literary fiction, upmarket commercial fiction, crime and non-fiction, both translated and Dutch. Authors we publish are Nicci French, Sally Rooney, Helen Fields, Taylor Jenkins Reid, André Aciman and Anthony Beevor.
Atlas Contact is a literary list with many award winning authors in fiction, upmarket and narrative non-fiction and poetry. The team of approx. 25 people publishes authors like Julian Barnes, Richard Powers, Rachel Kushner, Elisabeth Strout, Mohamed Mbougar Sarr and Haruki Murakami.
