About the Editor
Stephen Morrow joined Simon & Schuster in 2023 as Vice President and Executive Editor. Previously at Dutton, Penguin Random House, he launched the bestselling and award-winning trade publishing careers of Anna Lembke M.D. with Dopamine Nation, Sean Carroll, acquiring and editing all his trade titles including The Big Picture, Daniel J. Levitin with This Is Your Brain on Music, Tyler Cowen, author of The Great Stagnation, and Carl Zimmer, author of She Has Her Mother’s Laugh, and whose first books Stephen acquired more than twenty years ago at the S&S imprint Free Press. While there he also signed Leonard Mlodinow’s debut, Euclid’s Window, and edited Robert Strassler’s The Landmark Thucydides. Stephen founded the science imprint Pi Press within Pearson’s higher education group in 2003.
Stephen’s titles have enjoyed far flung sales across trade, academic and professional channels, many topping bestseller lists in audio as well as print and ebook, and in dozens of languages with extraordinary success including in China for Does Santa Exist? by Eric Kaplan.
At S&S he continues to cultivate a range of nonfiction authors with big ideas that might change the world for the better.
