Elizabeth Hitti (she/her) Assistant Editor Atria
About the Editor
Elizabeth joined Atria in January 2022 and works with Emilia Rhodes and Melanie Iglesias Pérez on a range of bestselling fantasy and romance that includes novels by Penn Cole and Colleen Hoover. For her own list, Elizabeth acquires cozy fantasy, romantasy, and romance novels that are fun, plot-driven, and escapist, while seamlessly layered with emotional and intellectual depth. She is especially drawn to novels featuring observant social commentary, poignant family dynamics, earnestly relatable characters, chemistry that leaps off the page, and magic with low barriers to entry. Her first acquisition, The Crescent Moon Tearoom by Stacy Sivinski, was a National Bestseller, Indie Next Pick, Amazon Book of the Month in Fiction and Fantasy, and the S&S Top Shelf Pick for Fall 2024. Her upcoming titles include Any Trope but You by Victoria Lavine (a romance about an author who doesn’t believe in HEAs), Love and Other Brain Experiments by Hannah Brohm (an academic rivals-to-lovers romance), Deathbringer by Sonia Tagliareni (a dark academia romantasy), and the Westwell series by Lena Kiefer (a German bestselling romance trilogy in which Romeo and Juliet meets Gossip Girl. Elizabeth began her publishing career as a Marketing and Publicity Assistant at Profile Books in London, where she was commended for her campaign on Laura Dave’s bestselling The Last Thing He Told Me by the UK Book Marketing Society. She grew up in Venezuela, holds a BA in political science from Vanderbilt University with minors in classical civilizations and corporate strategy, and is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course at Oxford University.
