Tom Spain, Vice President, Editorial Director, at Simon & Schuster Audio, originally joined as Senior Editor in 1988, after covering the audio and video publishing businesses for Publishers Weekly and The Washington Post. Following stints at Bantam Audio, Pocket Books and Dell Publishing, he returned to S&S Audio in 2005. His acquisitions also include original audio productions from such bestselling authors as Drs. Roizen and Oz, Joel Osteen and Eben Alexander, and the acclaimed original publications Sunday Mornings in Plains: Bringing Peace to a Changing World by Jimmy Carter (Grammy nomination) and Barack Obama: The 60 Minutes Interviews by Steve Kroft (Audie nomination). For audio editions of books published by other houses, he is interested in high-profile publications from bestselling authors, who most recently have included Fareed Zakaria (Age of Revolutions) and Elizabeth Kolbert (H is for Hope). He is a graduate of Yale College.
